Can you get herpes from kissing if they take medication?
Posted by: admin : Category: Herpes medication
My friend Steve has herpes oral and genital and he likes my friend Tiffany. Tiffany is 17 and has never been kissed. Tonight Steve told Tiffany that if he takes the medication and doesnt have an out break on his mouth she cant get it. Is it true because he kissed her tonight and I wanna be a good friend
Even if he is taking medication, as long as he has it when they kissed, she can still get it. She should take some preventive medication. Don’t really know what specifically, so make her go to a clinic or something.

its less likely but its not impossible for her to get it when he doesnt have an outbreak, so tell her to find another guy.

The medication only makes him less likely to have outbreaks and less likely to transmit it. It still can be transmitted, even if he’s currently not having an outbreak. Also, the two types of virus are highly convertible, so if he gives her oral sex she can get genital herpes and if she gives him oral sex she can get oral herpes.
It’s good to know you’re being a good friend; please let her know he’s wrong and if she won’t believe you make her ask a doctor.
