There are no cures for viruses in general including herpes, HIV/AIDS, HPV, Ebola virus, Epstein-Barr virus, hepatitis, influenza (aka the flu), measles, mumps, polio virus, west Nile virus, yellow fever, and the list goes on and on.

The best thing we can do to fight viruses is to PREVENT them in the first place (usually with vaccines).

There is a new vaccine for HPV (Gardasil) that has been out for a little while and there is currently a trial study being done for a herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV2) vaccine called Herpevac. With a FDA approval it should be out hopefully in 2008. It has been shown to be about 70% effective in women, but unfortunately does not prevent the virus in men.

Viruses mutate rapidly–making "cure" difficult. Vaccination is more plausible, and likely on the horizon.

You’ll notice that there aren’t cures for other viruses like, say, the common cold. Or polio. Or chickenpox (which, well, probably isn’t a good example because it’s a herpesvirus). No conspiracies there, either.

Oh, there's a cure for it, you'll just never be told what that is until 75% of the U.S. population has it, Im assuming you mean genital herpes, because hsv1 is nothing to cry about. Its all about the money Vick, all about the money, use natural supplements.

its not a rasist thing ,its a money thing its worth more for pharmisutical comapies to treat herpes than cure it and it is a billion dollar industry .If no one had herpes then they would be out of pocket .Fight the power ,use natural medicine It will hurt them .

Herpes is a viral disease, and these are generally harder to deal with than bacterial illnesses. But chickenpox immunizations will help to get rid of it.
