I’m not aware of any research showing that different HSV strains are more virulent than others; however, patients’ immune systems are extremely variable and liely play a greater role in individual responses to herpetic viruses. I don’t know where you get the idea that anyone “downplays” this event – they are very painful at the very least. If I didn’t think they were significiant, I personally wouldn’t have posted this video or made this response.

That’s the first I”ve heard of the buttermilk treatment. I did a PubMed research but couldn’t come up with a reference. Again, if it works for you, great. My question: is it the ingestion of the buttermilk or the contact of the buttermilk with the lesion?

The laser does provide instantaneous relief, so I guess patients without a palate for buttermilk are willing to pay for a sure thing.

“Good question, the virus is essentially the same” <- really? Are there not genetic variations? Some strains of herpes seem to be more aggressive than others.. reseach should be dedicated to finding out how to trigger the dormant virus to become active, activtivate the whole thing and you are cured.. provided you can fight off the infection.. I think it is a shame that some doctors.. (not you) try to down-play or pretend that it is a none-event; this is a serious bug.

For all practical intent, the virus and tissues are the same; this treatment should be as equally effective against genital lesions. However, it should be noted that this treatment is for the symptoms of an outbreak; there is no evidence that it prevents transferrring of the virus btween partners, and genital outbreaks can be a result of oral/genital contact and vice/versa.

all your life… it is a viral dsease, no cure from it.The virus remains in latent stage in the trigeminal nerve ganglion. if anything that lowers immunity such as influenza,stress..etc ,then there is a chance for the virus to appear.
