can you have herpes without ever having a breakout?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Herpes breakout

i was wondering if your doctor says that you have herpes, but the problem is that you have never had breakout. So does that mean that you have the virus.

Yes, if your immune function is weak because your body gets weak and more fatigued and stressed. Weak immune system is the reason why most people have recurrent outbreaks. It is time to pay attention to your diet. Eating natural food such as fruits, vegetables meat and mostly foods high in lysine is advised. Many minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, copper and manganese can help boost immune systems. Fruits are also relatively low calorie. Seafood and foods rich in selenium, iodine, vitamins A, C and K are also good sources that are powerful in helping to boost immune system.

Yes you can. Some people can go for years with out ever experiencing a break out that is how some people never know that they have herpes. The virus can lie dormant for a long time after you contracted it. If your immune system is strong then it can suppress out breaks for years.
With the oral type (cold sores), most people who have them get them as a child by a relative or child hood friend kissing them on the cheek with cold sores.
Genital herpes can also lie dormant or it can show symptoms as little as 2 days after coming into contact with some one who has genital herpes.
If the doctor told you that you have herpes, or even tested you for it then told you, then you most likely have the herpes virus in your body for the rest of your life

Yes. In fact, most people with genital herpes don’t realize that they have it. They’ve either never had an outbreak, or had an outbreak so mild that they mistook it for something else.

If your doctor has given you a blood test that shows that you are positive for HSV, then you do indeed have herpes. The test looks for antibodies to the virus in your blood. If you have herpes, then you have the antibodies.

Now, a blood test can’t tell you WHERE you have herpes. If you have HSV1 (the strain that "prefers" the mouth) on your genitals, you probably won’t get any outbreaks. You’ll test positive for HSV1, but you won’t know if you have it on your genitals or on your mouth. It’s tricky that way.

Many times the outbreaks can be so subtle that you may not even notice. If you’re expecting an outbreak like what you may see if you research it on the internet, don’t. Those are the worst case scenarios.
