U dont need to answer this part but does it affect ur liver or kidneys and does it protect ur partner totally durning all forms of sex,so u dont give them type 1 or 2 herpes,eg with oral and vaginal etc sex thanks

No any medicine that is taken for herpes does not protect your partner you will always need to use a condom during an outbreak and for peace of mind even when there are no sores. you can also tell her to take Lysine capsules (you can get at health food store), and Abreva ointment from the pharmacy (over the counter). this will do the trick fairly quickly.

Herpes can not be transmitted by eating something that is expired.
